Kasten's shot with :02 left sends Seton Keough past No. 7 Spalding, 53-51 Girls basketball

Debbie Kasten hit a baseline shot with two seconds left to lift Seton Keough (5-5, 4-3) to a 53-51 victory over No. 7 Archbishop Spalding (11-4, 4-3) in a Catholic League game yesterday. Tiffany Stewart and Melanie Morris led Keough with 12 points each. Amy Langville led Spalding with a game-high 19.

* Southern-AA 50, North County 48: Laekeka Wesley scored the winning basket with 30 seconds left in overtime to lead Southern (6-2, 3-0) past North County in an Anne Arundel County Bay Division game. Wesley led all scorers with 25 and Joy Farmer led North County with 21 points.

* Franklin 47, Kenwood 39: Jill Smith had 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead Franklin (4-4) past Kenwood (3-6) in a Baltimore County 4A-3A game. Melissa Wosk led Kenwood with 15.

* Catonsville 71, EVT 21: Amy Kuehnl scored a game-high 20 to lead Catonsville past EVT (0-9) in Baltimore County 4A-3A action.

* Patapsco 54, Pikesville 48: Melanie Moskowitz scored 10 to help the Patriots (5-3) beat Pikesville in a Baltimore County 4A-3A game. Colby Feldman led Pikesville with 13.

* Dulaney 53, Woodlawn 52: Jen Jones scored a game-high 18 to lead Dulaney (4-4) past Woodlawn.

* Towson 57, Chesapeake-BC 9: Sarah Weaver scored a game-high 16 to spark Towson past the Bayhawks in Baltimore County 2A-1A action.

* Randallstown 66, Perry Hall 21: Nyota Mitchell scored 28 to lead the Rams past the Gators in Baltimore County 4A-3A action.

* Lansdowne 62, Dundalk 35: Casey Smith scored 20 to lead the No. 19 Vikings (10-1) past the Owls (2-7) in Baltimore County 4A-3A action. Becky Sowden scored 12 for Dundalk.

* Milford Mill 50, Owings Mills 29: Senior center Ebonie Richardson scored 21 to lead host Milford Mill (7-2, 5-1) over Owings Mills (2-6). Senior forward Yolanda Matthews added 13 for the Millers.

* Old Mill 53, Glen Burnie 32: Senior guard Stacy Himes helped Old Mill (8-1, 4-0) stay perfect in the league, scoring 11 to lead the No. 2 Patriots over Glen Burnie (3-6). Senior forward Anne Chicorelli and senior guard Lee Ann Lezzer both added seven. Melissa Schaffer led Glen Burnie with 14.

* Frederick Christian 39, Granite Baptist 26: Guard Hisac Tanaka led host Frederick Christian (8-2) with 12 points in its win over Granite Baptist (1-4). Sophomore forward Michele Tanner led Granite Baptist with 10 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots.

* Towson Catholic 35, Glenelg CS 13: Junior Amy Cullum scored 20 to lead Towson Catholic (2-5) over visiting Glenelg Country School (2-4).

* Severna Park 77, Meade 28: Senior Amy Carnaggio scored 12 and sophomore Sandy Jenkin added 10 to help host and No. 17 Severna Park (8-2, 1-0) defeat Meade (0-6, 0-1) in an Anne Arundel County Friendship Division game. Connie Fink led Meade with 11.

* Harford Christian 79, Elkton Christian 8: Junior center Laura Thomas and senior forward Jen Chatham scored 16 each to help host Harford Christian (13-0) beat Elkton Christian.
