* Owen Brown: 9800 block of Broken Land Parkway: A $200 13-inch symphonic color television-VCR was stolen from Simms Industries Inc. between 9 a.m. Jan. 1 and noon Friday.

* Oakland Mills: 9400 block of Kilimanjaro Road: A basement window was broken between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday. Once inside, the intruder ransacked the house and stole rolled coins. A rear sliding glass door was found ajar.

5900 block of Camelback Lane: A screen on a basement window was cut and a window broken between 2:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Saturday. Entry wasn't gained because the window was locked.

* Long Reach: 5400 block of Watercress Place: A resident heard banging on a front door about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. When the resident didn't answer the door, intruders pulled a picnic table up to a window and entered the home. When the intruders heard the resident on the telephone calling police, they apparently fled toward a bike path.

8600 block of Goldenstraw Lane: Someone fired a BB through a sliding glass door about 5:40 p.m. Friday.

* Kings Contrivance: 9500 block of Weather Worn Way: Someone tried to steal a 1990 Acura on Saturday or Sunday.
