Volunteers sought to continue Riviera Beach security patrols

Security patrols through Riviera Beach have been hampered by a lack of volunteers.

Officials with the Riviera Community Improvement Association, which sponsors the citizen patrols, are seeking a minimum of six volunteers to continue weekend patrols. Volunteers are asked to donate two evening hours per month. Information: Bill Raines, 360-5072.

POLICE LOG

* Clearview Village: Vandals smashed the front door of a home in the first block of Margaret Ave. Friday.

* Deerfield: Vandals smashed the window of a 1992 Toyota Camry parked in front of a home in the 600 block of Willowby Run Friday.

* Pasadena: Someone used a BB gun to shoot at the window of a home in the first block of Lake Shore Drive Friday. The pellet left a small hole in the window.

* Pasadena: Vandals used a BB gun to shoot at the windows of a 1991 Chevrolet S-10 parked in front of a home in the 200 block of Ullman Road Saturday.

* Pasadena: A resident of the 9100 block of Fort Smallwood Road said someone broke into his home Friday. Police do not know exactly what was taken.

* Pasadena: Burglars broke into a home in the 400 block of Magothy Bridge Road Friday and took unknown property.

* Poplar Ridge: Someone stole hunting equipment from a 1987 Ford truck parked in the 1700 block of Poplar Ridge Road Friday.

* Venice on the Bay: Burglars broke into a home in the 1900 block of Main Ave. Friday and took jewelry and appliances valued at $200.
