January 12, 1993|By Steven Hunter

Tickets for "Malcolm X," Spike Lee's 3 1/2 -hour film about the life of the black leader, will be reduced for viewers under age 21 from Friday, Jan. 15, through Sunday, Jan. 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, according to Warner Bros.

Tickets, which usually cost between $6 and $7.50 nationally, will be reduced to $2 to $3, although at press time the cost in Baltimore theaters had not yet been determined, according to a spokesman for Loews Theaters.

The film has earned nearly $40 million at the box office but has not done as well as expected with young African-American audiences.
