SHOOTING: Eastern District -- An unidentified man was listed in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being shot in the head and shoulder late Sunday night in the 2000 block of Ellsworth St. Details of the shooting were not available.

THEFT: Central District -- A man stole $65 worth of food stamps from the occupant of a house in the 1900 block of Eutaw Place Sunday afternoon after asking the victim if he could use the telephone.

PURSE SNATCH: Southeastern District -- A 24-year-old woman was robbed of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $15, Saturday night by a man in the 500 block of N. Linwood Ave.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A 9-year-old boy was robbed of his bicycle near his home on W. Fort Ave. Sunday afternoon by a man who pushed him off the bike. The youth was not injured. The bike was valued at about $200.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Southern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station in connection with the armed robbery Sunday morning of the C&R grocery in the 100 block of W. Clement St. The man was arrested by Officer Andre Hill after he received information about a suspect.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 1200 block of Sargeant St. was robbed of his coat by a man who assaulted him Sunday afternoon in the 1200 block of Washington Boulevard. The coat was valued at $150.

SCHOOL BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered the Lakeland Elementary-Middle School in the 2900 block of Stranden Road over the weekend and stole property of unknown value.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Diapers valued at $60 were stolen Sunday night by someone who entered What's New, a store in the 700 block of Washington Boulevard, after breaking a window.

ASSAULT: Southern District -- Police were seeking a woman who struck a resident of the first block of W. Talbott St. over the head with a piece of wood during an incident at the victim's home Sunday afternoon.

BURGLARY/ARREST: A man was arrested Sunday in connection with a burglary at a house in the 300 block of S. Payson St. during which property valued at $60 was stolen.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 700 block of Linnard St. Saturday night through the front door and stole a 19-inch TV valued at $300.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Southwestern District -- A Randallstown-area man was driving in the first block of S. Monastery Ave. early Sunday when the driver of another car pulled alongside and fired two shots that struck his car. The victim was not injured. The assailant, who was known by the victim, drove off toward Baltimore National Pike. Later, police arrested Thomas Berkley, 27, of the 2800 block of Essex Road, and charged him with reckless endangerment, discharging a firearm in the city and possession of a deadly weapon. Mr. Berkley was later released on $65,000 bond.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered Duke Brothers Inc. in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave. over the weekend through a hole in a wall and stole property valued at more than $8,000.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A gunman robbed a resident Ellicott Drive of an undisclosed sum in the 2900 block of Arunah Ave. Sunday afternoon.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of Wedgewood Road of her leather coat, valued at more than $200, Sunday afternoon in the 1000 block of Cooks Lane.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Cash and property, all valued at nearly $300, was stolen from J.C. Beer & Wine in the 3000 block of Windsor Ave. by someone who entered through a basement window.

SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A resident of N. Rutland Ave. was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery Sunday night in the 3100 block of Lohr's Lane. The gunman escaped, and the victim was taken to St. Agnes Hospital for treatment. His condition was not available.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of W. Lanvale St. was walking in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Saturday night when she was struck by a man who stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $40.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a .38-caliber revolver, robbed a resident of Riggs Ave. of cash and jewelry, all valued at nearly $450, Saturday night in the 1100 block of N. Bentalou Street.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Reisterstown Road was shot Saturday night while in the 2300 block of Druid Hill Ave. The man was walking down the street when someone fired a shot that struck him in the leg. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of Northwick Road of $80 in the 1800 block of Edmondson Ave. Sunday.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of Frankford Ave. was in the first block of N. Warwick Ave. Sunday when she was robbed of $40 by a man armed with a knife.
