County checks damaged Harundale storm water pipe 0) section for possible repair
The county Department of Public Works examined the partially collapsed section of a storm water pipe in Harundale last week with the possibility of repairing it.

The pipe, probably 40 years old, sent storm water toward Marley Creek. Part of the end section, behind Tarrant Court, collapsed in last Tuesday's torrential storm.
Public Works engineers probably will speak to the nearby community before any repairs are made, said Anne Sieling, department spokeswoman. The developer of that area did not provide for the kinds of easements that would allow the county ready access to the broken section of pipe, so the county would need to get permission from property owners, Ms. Sieling said.
