Workshop on rezoning scheduled in Clarksville

A workshop on comprehensive rezoning will be sponsored by the Howard County Citizens Association and the Howard County Department of Planning and Zoning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Pointers Run Elementary School in Clarksville.

The main presentation will be on development regulations and the subdivision review process. If you have questions about these regulations or the adequate public facilities regulations, forest conservation, storm water management, wetlands and waterways permits and abatements, this is the meeting to attend.

Comprehensive rezoning occurs once every 10 years. It is especially important in light of the new statistical marriage between Baltimore and Washington. Howard County sits in the center of this enlarged metropolitan statistical area.
