Wise, Johnson combine for 46, lift Forest Park past Northwestern, 79-78 Boys basketball

Allen Wise scored 25 points and Keith Johnson added 21 yesterday to lead Forest Park (3-7) to a 79-78 victory over host Northwestern (3-7) in an MSA Gamper Conference 4A-1A Division game. Charles Owens led Northwestern with 24.

* Walbrook 88, Carver 67: Troy Parker scored 14 to lead No. 3 Walbrook (8-1, 5-0) past host and No. 20 Carver (5-4, 3-3) in an MSA Gamper Conference 3A Division game.

Dunbar 103, Edmondson 72: Norman Nolan led all scorers with 32 as the No. 1 Poets (9-1, 4-0) defeated the No. 11 Redskins (6-4, 4-2), in an MSA Gamper Conference 4A-2A-1A Division game.

* Poly 70, City 60: Giovanni Moore scored 15 points and added four assists, and teammate Brian Scott added 13 points to lift host Poly (4-6) over City (1-8).

* Southwestern 100, Northern 59: Dion Crawford scored 15 points and had nine rebounds, 10 assists and three steals, all in the first half, to lead No. 8 Southwestern (9-2, 5-0) over visiting Northern in an MSA Gamper Conference 3A Division game. Haywood Eaddy added 17 points, six steals and eight assists and three rebounds.

* Southern-Balt. 56, Douglass 51: Kevin Simpson scored 20 as No. 7 Southern (6-3) beat Douglass.

* Overlea 70, Chesapeake-BC 52: Gerald Palmer scored 23 points and Shante Dukes added 14 to lead Overlea (6-1, 4-0) over Chesapeake (2-5, 1-5).

* Boys' Latin 65, Curley 57: Phil Booker's 23 points led Boys' Latin (7-3) over Archbishop Curley (2-5).

* Loch Raven 60, Hereford 38: Dane Elterman scored 28 points, leading Loch Raven (5-3, 4-0) over Hereford in a Baltimore County 2A-1A game.

* Severn 96, Mount Carmel 37: Brad Fowler (22) scored his 1,000th point -- a school first -- as he helped No. 13 and host Severn (14-1, 6-0) past Mount Carmel (2-6).

* Mount St. Joseph 45, St. Frances 39: Donte Abron scored a game-high 21 to lead host Mount St. Joseph (6-7) past St. Frances.

* St. Paul's 58, Gilman 50: Chris Beach had 17 points to lead St. Paul's (5-9, 1-5) past Gilman in an MSA Armstrong Conference A Division game.

* Arundel 64, Chesapeake 52: Jeff Hedrick scored 13 of his 20 points in the third quarter and Rich Abrams scored nine of his 15 in the same quarter as Arundel outscored Chesapeake 30-18 to take control.

* Milford Mill 107, Pikesville 64: Ken Bostic scored 25 points, including five three-pointers, as Milford Mill downed visiting Pikesville.

* Randallstown 60, Franklin 39: Kimm White led with 12 and senior forward Bill Garrett added 10 as Randallstown (4-7, 3-5) beat visiting Franklin.

* Sparrows Point 54, Owings Mills 39: Will Marshall scored 12 and and Carnell Damon and Griffin Dangle each scored 11 as Sparrows Point (5-1) beat Owings Mills.

* Glen Burnie 69, Northeast 40: Jamal Forbes scored 18 points and teammate Bill Dykhuis added 16 to lead host Glen Burnie (6-2) past Northeast (4-5).

* No. 10 Calvert Hall 48, St. Maria Goretti 36: Jeremy Baker scored 12 points and had nine assists and teammate Chris Wilson added 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead host No. 10 Calvert Hall (9-4) over St. Maria Goretti (7-5).

* No. 18 Perry Hall 76, Kenwood 60: Jeff Burrows scored 22 of his 24 points in the first quarter and connected on three of three three-pointers to lead No. 18 Perry Hall (8-1) past Kenwood (1-6). Sherrick Matthews led Kenwood with 14.

* No. 4 Annapolis 100, North County 58: Kelsey Watkins scored 22 points, and James Gross (14) and Wendell Williams (15) combined for another 29 as Annapolis (6-1) beat (0-9) North County. It was the Knights' 36th consecutive loss, a county record.

* Hammond 74, Atholton 66: Michael Matthews scored 23, leading Hammond (2-4, 1-0) past Atholton (4-5, 0-1) in a Howard County League game. Brian Benden and Tony Stewart each scored 17 for Atholton.

* Catonsville 67, Dulaney 41: Michael Barrett scored 19 and James Lewis added 16 as visiting and No. 17 Catonsville (7-2, 6-1) defeated Dulaney (5-4, 4-3) in a Baltimore County 4A-3A game. Eric Gonzales scored 11 for Dulaney.

* Spalding 52, St. Mary's 48: Jeff Paxson scored 22 points as host Spalding (5-7, 5-1) defeated St. Mary's in an MSA Armstrong Conference B Division. Charlie McCloud led all scorers with 30 for St. Mary's.

* Key 50, Glenelg Country School 34: Martin Schnabel scored 15 to lead Key School (2-3) past Glenelg Country School (0-5).
