BALTIMORE CITY

*ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 1700 block of N. Mount St. of nearly $300 worth of property Wednesday in the 1700 block of N. Carey St.

*BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house under renovation in the 800 block of Druid Lake Park Drive Wednesday and stole a cast iron sink valued at nearly $200.

*BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Property valued at nearly aaaastolen from a house in the 100 block of S. Collins Ave. Wednesday by someone who entered through a basement window.

*BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house the 2900 block of Presbury St. between Tuesday and Wednesday through a basement window and stole property valued at more than $600.

*ARRESTS: Northeastern District -- Police arrested two men who attempted to rob a resident of the 5000 block of Goodnow Road near his home Tuesday night. The incident was witnessed by Officers Chris Cooper, Joseph Gipe and Michael Hennlein, who chased three suspects and caught two. One of the suspects pointed a gun at Officer Cooper during the chase but was subdued before he could fire.

*ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- A teen-age resident of the 5000 block of Truesdale Ave. was attacked in the 5300 block of Goodnow Road Tuesday afternoon by a 13-year-old girl who struck her over the head with an umbrella. The 13-year-old is being sought.

*ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed Toni's barber shop in the 4800 block of Erdman Ave. of more than $100 Wednesday evening.

*BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered the Royal Farm store in the 5200 block of Harford Road early Wednesday morning and stole several cartons of cigarettes before driving off in a Chevrolet with state license plates ADC-678.

*ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1900 block of E. 32nd St. was robbed of more than $100 Wednesday afternoon in the 1500 block of Havenwood Road by two men, one armed with a handgun.

*RAPE ATTEMPT: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking a man who abducted a woman from outside a store in the 5200 block of Harford Road then drove her to a nearby isolated spot where he attempted to rape her. The man drove off when the woman cried out.

*PURSE SNATCHING: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5200 block of Catalpha Road was walking near her home Wednesday morning when a man stole her purse containing $20.

*THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone forced open at least two vending machines at the Arnold Tire Co. in the 6100 block of Belair Road between Tuesday and yesterday and stole more than $200 in coins.

*BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the second-floor window of a house in the 4300 block of Rugby Road with a ladder Wednesday night and stole cash and property, all valued at nearly $5,000.

*THEFT: Northern District -- A desk containing horse training equipment valued at $400 was stolen Wednesday from the front porch of a house in the 3100 block of Keswick Road.

*THEFT: Northern District -- Four wheel covers valued at $100 were stolen from a 1993 Ford Tuesday while the vehicle was parked in the 5400 block of York Road.

*THEFT: Northern District -- A ladder, electrical testing equipment and several tools, all valued at more than $300, were stolen Wednesday from a van parked in the 700 block of W. 34th St.

*THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered an apartment in the 3300 block of N. Charles St. Wednesday afternoon through an open door and stole a wallet containing more than $100 belonging to a Johns Hopkins University student.

*ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 5700 block of Roland Ave. was robbed of his wallet and an undisclosed sum of cash early Wednesday morning as he exited his car outside his home by two men, one armed with a handgun, who drove off in an orange van.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

*ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Towson District -- Police arrested three teen-age boys Wednesday night and charged each of them with the unarmed robbery of a man at Hillsway and Wentworth avenues shortly after 9 p.m. The three were arrested a short distance from the robbery scene. The youths were released into their parents' custody.

*PURSE SNATCHING: Towson District -- A man stole a woman's purse containing an undisclosed sum of money Wednesday morning in the 6500 block of Sharon Road before he escaped by driving off in a red car.

*THEFT: Cockeysville District -- Someone entered a 1989 Ford truck parked in the first block of Warren Lodge Court Wednesday and stole $300 in tree pruning equipment.

*BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- At least $200 was stolen when someone entered the Lobby Shop in the 9600 block of Deereco Road through the front door between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

* BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- A combination 20-inch TV/VCR valued at nearly $600 was stolen in late December from a C&P Telephone office in the 11100 block of McCormick Place by someone who entered through the front door.

* BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- Someone entered a house in the 2300 block of Benson Mill Road in Sparks after breaking a pane of glass in a rear door and stole a 13-inch TV and $50 worth of dimes.
