SHOOTING: Northern District -- A woman was shot in the right ankle Wednesday night when a gunman fired several shots into the Sunrise Restaurant in the 700 block of McCabe Ave., where she was a customer. The woman, 49, a resident of the 6200 block of the Alameda, was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Silverware, video games, a VCR, a fur coat, a 35mm camera, two TVs, a toaster, a radio and jewelry, all valued at more than $9,000, were stolen Thursday from a house in the 2700 block of Oakley Ave.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 100 block of N. Smallwood St. between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning and stole an air compressor and tools, all valued at $500.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a woman and were holding her at the Women's Detention Center at the Central police station pending charges she cut a male resident of the 1600 block of Mountmor Court in the 1700 block of N. Mount St. Wednesday with a straight razor.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A TV, VCR and a cassette tape player, all valued at nearly $2,300, were stolen from a house in the 1100 block of W. Franklin St. Wednesday.

RAPE/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man Wednesday and were holding him at the station pending charges he raped a resident of the 2800 block of Rayner Ave. while visiting at her home. The woman was treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Three men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 2500 block of Lauretta Ave. of $236 Thursday in the 1000 block of N. Payson St.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A TV, a coat and a video game, all valued at more than $400, were stolen from an apartment in the 200 block of N. Fremont Ave. Wednesday afternoon.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 2100 block of Rupp St. of $115 Thursday afternoon in the 1800 block of N. Monroe St.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property of unknown value was stolen from a house in the 2300 block of Whittier Ave. Thursday.

ROBBERY TRY: Southeastern District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, attempted to rob Joe's bar & grill in the 600 block of N. Kenwood Ave. Wednesday night, but fled when they suspected someone in the bar called the police.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A teen-age resident of the 300 block of S. Dallas Court was robbed of $18 Wednesday night near his home by a man who placed a hard object in his back.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- A TV and a VCR, all valued at nearly $600, were stolen from a house in the 1900 block of E. Fairmount Ave. Wednesday evening.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Police were seeking a man ** who robbed a resident of the 200 block of N. Duncan St. of his $100 boots in the 500 block of N. Central Ave. after striking the victim with his fists.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed a resident of the 200 block of S. Dallas Court of her purse containing more than $100 in the 1600 block of Gough St. Thursday morning.

BANK ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man robbed the Maryland National Bank in the 1500 block of Joh Ave. of an undisclosed sum about noon Thursday after giving a teller a note saying, "Don't move or you'll die." No weapon was seen.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1000 block of DeSoto Road Thursday night through the front door and stole property valued at $3,000.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Property valued at more than $500 was stolen from a house in the 600 block of Linnard St. Thursday afternoon.

BREAK-IN: Southwestern District -- Someone entered George Falter & Co. in the 3500 block of Benson Ave. early Thursday morning and stole about $1,000 worth of cigarettes.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Property valued at $300 was stolen from a house in the 3000 block of Westwood Ave. Wednesday.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- An unknown sum was taken in a robbery at the High's dairy store in the 3700 block of Wilkens Ave. Wednesday afternoon by a man who implied he had a gun.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 500 block of Roundview Road was robbed of an undisclosed sum by a gunman early today in the 3300 block of Potee St.

ROBBERY TRY: Southern District -- An unarmed man attempted to rob a resident of the 1000 block of W. Cross St. near the victim's home early today, but fled when the victim fought him off. A man known to the victim is being sought.

Baltimore County

PURSE SNATCH: Towson District -- A resident of the 6500 block of Loch Hill Road was walking in the 6600 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 7 p.m. Thursday when a man approached her from the rear and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $50.

THEFT: Woodlawn District -- Someone drove a car into a display window of Value City in the Westview Mall in the 5700 block of Baltimore National Pike about 3 a.m. today and stole property of unknown value.
