Pair charged with possession, intent to distribute cocaine

County police charged a man and woman with possession with intent to distribute crack-cocaine after they received a tip that the drug was being brought from the Severn area to Glen Burnie Monday.

After getting the tip, undercover officers followed the pair. The man and woman were stopped at a 7-Eleven store on Greenway Road in Glen Burnie.

Police searched their car and found $100 worth of crack.

Bennie Lee Harmon, 22, of the 8300 block of Pioneer Drive in Severn, and Rose Maria Perry, 37, of the 8200 block of Coatsbridge Court in Severn, were taken to the Eastern District to be charged.

Man charged in drug store break in

A Glen Burnie man has been arrested and charged with breaking into the Medicine Shop drug store Monday night.

According to the police report, officers were called to the store, in the 7600 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard, when the burglar alarm went off at 8:34 p.m.

A witness told officers he saw a man run out of the store and get into a car. The witness gave the officers the license plate number and police traced it to the home of Paul M. Ward Jr., 35, of the 1900 block of Norman Road.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the story, police said.

3 men charged with distributing crack

Three men were charged with distributing crack after police ** said they tried to sell the drug to undercover narcotics officers in Glen Burnie Monday.

Investigators said the arrests concluded a month-long undercover operation in the Woodside Terrace apartment complex.

Jonathan K. Garfield, 19, of the 1700 block of Richfield Drive in Severn; George M. Adams, 26, of the 6400 block of Polk Circle in Glen Burnie, and Derrick E. Dailey, 26, of the 7900 block of Parke West Drive in Glen Burnie, also were charged with possession with intent to distribute crack and possession of marijuana.

* Glen Burnie: A resident of the 7800 block of B&A Boulevard reported to police that burglars broke into his home between Saturday and Mon

day. It was not known exactly what was taken.

* Greentree Apts.: A 1985 Honda CRX parked in the 8000 block of Green Orchard Road was broken into Tuesday. Stereo equipment valued at $1,800 was taken.

* Oakleaf Villas: Burglars broke into a home in the 300 block of Juneberry Way between Saturday and Monday and took a dishwasher valued at $2,700.

* Valley Brook Apts.: Burglars broke into an apartment in the 100 block of Faywood Court over the weekend and took a 9mm handgun valued at $550.
