An early morning car crash in Gamber yesterday sent a Westminster woman to the Maryland Shock Trauma center in Baltimore and two other people to the Carroll County General Hospital emergency room.

According to state police, the accident occurred at 7:40 a.m. when Myron Nolte Almony Sr., 73, pulled his car in front of a car driven by 19-year-old Lee Ann Beall. Mr. Almony was turning left off Route 91 onto Bloom Road.

Ms. Beall, of the 3400 block of Avis Court, who was traveling south on Route 91 in a 1981 Datsun, hit Mr. Almony's 1987 Buick LeSabre on the right side, police said. She was reported in serious but stable condition last night.

Ms. Beall's front-seat passenger, 7-year-old Erin Elizabeth Pogue, also of the Avis Court address, was treated and released yesterday from Carroll County General. Mr. Almony, of the 3400 block of Old Gamber Road in Finksburg, also was treated and released.

In another accident, Shock Trauma officials reported last night that 63-year-old Charles Muller Jr. of the 1900 block of Gillis Falls Road was in fair but stable condition with injuries he suffered in a head-on crash with another car at Route 140 and Bullfrog Road near Taneytown Saturday night.

The identity of the other driver, who was taken to the Gettysburg Hospital, is not known.
