OFFICER SHOT AT/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police arrested an employee of a Chinese restaurant in the 2000 block of E. Monument St. Sunday morning after he reportedly fired a shot at a police officer he mistook for a burglar. Officer Drew Dorbert was in the back yard of the restaurant at 3 a.m. looking for a burglar when someone in an apartment over the restaurant fired a shot that nearly hit the officer in the head. Entering the apartment, the officer recovered a handgun and arrested the employee, who was expected to be charged with assault by shooting at Officer Dorbert and discharging a firearm.

ARRESTS: Southeastern District -- Two men were arrested Sunday morning after they broke into an apartment in the first block of S. Chester St. and then robbed someone in another apartment. When Officers David Childs and Phil Palmere arrived to investigate the break-in, two men fled and broke into another apartment and robbed a person there of money and jewelry. During a search of the building, one of the suspects fired a shot at the officers. In the back yard, police found two men hiding in a dog house and arrested them.

ARRESTS: Southeastern District -- Four youths were arrested Sunday after a break-in at a house in the 1700 block of E. Fairmount Ave. Police said there were several refrigerators and ranges stored in the basement. The four were arrested by Officer Michael Ogle when they attempted to flee the house.

THEFT: Southern District -- Someone entered a van parked in the 1300 block of Ramsay St. Sunday night and stole a set of jumper cables valued at $50.

THEFT: Southern District -- A bike valued at $119 was stolen from a garage in the 300 block of Jack St. Sunday.

THEFT: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2300 block of Norfolk St. between Dec. 24 and Sunday and stole jewelry valued at $523.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1100 block of Wildwood Parkway of cash and property, all valued at $210, Sunday morning in the 4300 block of Old Frederick Road.

SCHOOL BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the Harlem Park Middle School in the 1500 block of Harlem Ave. between Dec. 30 and Sunday through a second-floor window. It was not immediately known if any property was taken.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1200 block of N. Bentalou St. was robbed of $80 Sunday afternoon in the 900 block of N. Bentalou St. by a man who struck him with an unknown object.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1400 block of Franklin St. was robbed of cash and property, all valued at $30, Saturday afternoon in the 1200 block of Edmondson Ave. by a man who struck him in the face with his fist.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: North Point District -- A gunman wearing a ski mask and dark clothing robbed a Dundalk woman of an undisclosed sum of cash Sunday morning at Dundalk Avenue and North Liberty Parkway while pointing the gun at her infant daughter's head and threatening to shoot the child if she didn't give up her money.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed the Beauty Supply Corp. in the 2300 block of N. Rolling Road Saturday night of an undisclosed sum of money. Before escaping, the men ripped a phone off the wall and stole it.
