BURGLARY: Western District -- A video game valued at nearly $200 was stolen from a house in the 2300 block of Whittier Ave. Tuesday by someone who entered through the front door.

THEFT: Western District -- Tools valued at more than $1,000 were stolen from a 1986 Toyota Tuesday while it was parked in the 2000 block of W. Fayette St. Taken was an air-compressor, a belt sander, a saw and an electric drill.

ROBBERY: Western District -- An employee of Whitelock Towing in the 2600 block of Flora St. was robbed of his wallet containing $65 Tuesday morning by a gunman near the firm's property.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1300 block of N. Mount St. of more than $300 in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Tuesday, moments after the victim cashed a money order.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A tape deck, compact disc player, 50 discs and $75, all valued at more than $1,100, were stolen from a house in the 1000 block of W. Lanvale St. Tuesday by someone who entered through a door.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Shirley Ave. was stopped at a traffic light in the 1800 block of Clifton Ave. Tuesday night when a man ordered him to give up his money and jewelry, all valued at more than $400.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man armed with a sawed-off shot gun robbed Boone's grocery store in the 1600 block of N. Smallwood St. Tuesday night and escaped with more than $100.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A remote control car valued at $140 was stolen from a resident of the 1200 block of W. Cross St. by a man who assaulted the victim while he sat on his front steps late Tuesday night.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 200 block of E. Lombard St. was in the 200 block of Key Highway Tuesday night when she was robbed of property valued at $100 by a man armed with a knife.

THEFT: Southern District -- Property valued at more than $300 was stolen from a car parked in the 1300 block of Cleveland St. between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning by someone who broke a window.

ARSON TRY: Cockeysville District -- Someone attempted to set fire to the Cleaner Cleaners in the 13500 block of Falls Road early Wednesday morning by placing two fuses next to two plastic anti-freeze containers filled with gasoline inside the building. The fuses apparently burned themselves out before reaching the fuel. Police had no motive for the incident and no suspects.

THEFT: Cockeysville District -- A fax machine and an electric typewriter, all valued at $3,500, were stolen from Metco Electronics in the 9500 block of Deereco Road between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
