Cabdriver robbed by two passengers in Owen Brown Village

A Columbia cabdriver was held up yesterday by two men whom he picked up from a fast-food restaurant in the Owen Brown Village Center.

The two men were in the car for just minutes when one pulled a knife and demanded cash, county police said. The other put an unknown object in the driver's ear during the robbery, which occurred at 1 a.m. at the intersection of Homespun Drive and Cradlerock Way.

Police said the 41-year-old driver handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and was not injured. The suspects ran away.
