POLICE

* Westminster: Christmas decorations on the Webster Street home of Cynthia Packer were ripped from the building last week. The damage estimate was $100.

FIRE

* Westminster: Westminster firefighters responded to an auto fire on Center Street at 12:59 p.m. Thursday. Units were out for 30 minutes.

Companies from Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester responded to fight an apartment fire on Charles Street for 25 minutes at 8:40 a.m. Saturday.

Westminster and Reese companies spent 24 minutes responding to an alarm on East Green Street at 2:19 p.m. Saturday.

Westminster and Reese fought a chimney fire on Allen Way at 11:05 p.m. Saturday. The fire destroyed one side of a wall, but no one was injured. Companies were out for about 2 1/2 hours.

Westminster firefighters spent about 20 minutes dealing with a woods fire on Old Manchester Road and joined the Reese company in responding to a fire alarm on Timber Ridge Drive, both on Sunday afternoon.

A field fire on Salem Bottom Road kept firefighters busy for more than half an hour and Westminster and Reese units investigated a fire alarm on Liberty Street, both Sunday afternoon.

* Cherrytown: Pleasant Valley firefighters spent about an hour investigating a fire alarm on Kirkhoff Road beginning about 7:15 a.m. Sunday.
