* Bernard Frawley, 63, an actor, died of throat cancer Dec. 17 at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York. The Manhattan resident appeared in a number of Broadway productions, including "Mass Appeal" with Milo O'Shea. A native of Ireland, Mr. Frawley began his acting career in Seattle, where he also produced and directed plays. He appeared in many East Coast regional theaters, including the Arena Stage in Washington.

* Karl Seymour Nash, 84, the editor of The Ridgefield (N.J.) Press for 50 years and president of Acorn Press newspapers, died Tuesday at his winter home in Cocoa Beach, Fla. The Ridgefield resident had pancreatic cancer two years ago.
