BALTIMORE CITY

* BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Appliances valued at nearly $200 were stolen from a house in the 1500 block of Holbrook St. on Tuesday by someone who entered through a rear basement door.

* ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Three men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 2300 block of Hunter St. of $154 Tuesday in the 2100 block of Barclay St.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed two teen-age boys of their money and jewelry Tuesday afternoon in the 2100 block of Presstman St.

* THEFT: Western District -- Police were seeking a thief who stole property valued at more than $2,000 from a house in the 100

block of N. Carrollton Ave. while the occupant was in the hospital.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of N. Schroeder St. on Tuesday through a third-floor window and stole two VCRs valued at more than $500.

* SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 700 block of W. Hamburg St. was getting into his car in the 200 block of N. Schroeder St. on Tuesday evening when a gunman shot him in the leg. The victim was taken to Bon Secours Hospital, where he is listed in good condition. Motive for the shooting was unknown.

* THEFT: Western District -- Tools and a camera, all valued at $640, were stolen from a vehicle Tuesday afternoon while it was parked in the 1600 block of W. North Ave.

* CHURCH BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the Doswell Cathedral Church in the 500 block of Doswell Ave. on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and stole a 20-inch TV and a cassette player, all valued at $125.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who entered an apartment in the 1500 block of Edmondson Ave. on Wednesday afternoon and stole a leather coat, a purse containing $60 and other property, all valued at more than $200.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Copper piping valued at $1,000 was stolen from a house in the 2800 block of Parkwood Ave. on Wednesday morning by someone who entered through a door.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- Two employees of E.D. Brown & Sons in the 2100 block of N. Fulton Ave. were robbed of an undisclosed sum of money Tuesday in the 2500 block of Harlem Ave. by two men, one armed with a handgun.

* ROBBERY/ARREST: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 400 block of Parrish St. in the 1500 block of Harlem Ave. of property on Tuesday afternoon after striking her with the butt of a handgun. Later, police arrested a suspect and were holding him at the station pending charges.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 1800 block of Appleton St. of $20 and a sweater valued at $80 in the 2400 block of Pulaski St. on Tuesday afternoon.

* ROBBERY: Western -- A resident of the 1600 block of Mosher St. was robbed of property valued at nearly $100 Tuesday by a gunman in the 1500 block of N. Bentalou St.

* THEFT: Northern District -- A telephone, briefcase, $25 and credit cards, all valued at nearly $200, were stolen from a car parked in the 5600 block of York Road on Tuesday.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman robbed a couple in the 1000 block of Woodson Road on Tuesday night of cash and property, all valued at more than $50, after ordering them onto the ground while pointing his weapon at them.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- A compact disc player valued at $130 was stolen from a house in the 4800 block of Roland Ave. on Tuesday morning by someone who forced open a door.

* ASSAULT: Western District -- A resident of the 2800 block of W. Lanvale St. was struck with a crowbar several times by a man who attacked him Tuesday night near his home. He refused medical treatment and a suspect is being sought.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1600 block of N. Smallwood St. of a payroll check and a leather coat in the 1800 block of N. Smallwood St. on Tuesday night.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 2300 block of Eutaw Place through a rear window Tuesday morning and stole a 19-inch TV, luggage, microwave oven, cassette player, telephone and a lambskin coat, all valued at nearly $2,000.

* PURSE SNATCHING: Western District -- Property valued at $300 was stolen from a house in the 600 block of N. Bentalou St. on Tuesday night by someone who entered through a rear door.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 500 block of Sheridan Ave. of his leather coat valued at $300 Wednesday in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Ave.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the first block of Sparrow Court was robbed of his cash, calculator and pager, all valued at nearly $300, Wednesday by a gunman in the 2800 block of Baker St.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 2600 block of Aisquith St. in the 1500 block of W. North Ave. of a briefcase containing property of unknown value.
