BALTIMORE CITY

* ROBBERY/ARREST: Eastern District -- Police arrested a man Tuesday night and were holding him at the station in connection with the robbery about 9 p.m. Tuesday of the Rite Aid pharmacy in the 1500 block of Harford Road. The man was trailed by police to a house in the 1600 block of Holbrook St., where he was captured.

* THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a car parked in the 2700 block of Edmondson Ave. Monday morning after breaking a window and stole a TV, VCR and a jacket, all valued at more than $600.

* ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Edmondson Ave. was robbed of more than $300 Tuesday morning a block from her home by a man who implied he was armed with a handgun.

* ROBBERY TRY: Western District -- A resident of the 2500 block of McCulloh St. was in the 1100 block of Hendlers Lane Monday night when a gunman ordered her to give up her money. When the woman turned and ran, the gunman walked away.

* ROBBERY TRY/ARREST: Western District -- Gregory R. Leonard, 43, of the 2700 block of W. Fairmount Ave., was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with attempting to rob a resident of the 500 block of E. Biddle St. at knifepoint in the 2500 block of W. Lexington St. at 4 a.m. Tuesday During the incident, the victim was struck in the face. Police charged Mr. Leonard with attempted armed robbery, possession of a deadly weapon, and assault. Mr. Leonard was being held at the station without bail.

* BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1800 block of W. Lexington St. Tuesday morning through a basement window and stole $200.

* THEFT: Southern District -- Someone entered an apartment in the 400 block of E. Patapsco Ave. Tuesday and stole cash and a watch, all valued at more than $1,000.

* STABBING: Southern District -- A resident of the 900 block of Joplea Ave. was stabbed with a knife Tuesday during an attempted robbery in the 2600 block of Giles Road. The victim was taken to Harbor Medical Center for treatment and admitted. Information on his condition was not available.

* ROBBERY TRY: Southern District -- A man tried to rob the attendant at the Brooklyn Citgo service station in the 900 block of E. Patapsco Ave. at 4 a.m. Tuesday but fled when the employee resisted.

* STABBING: Southern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of Green Valley Circle was treated at Harbor Medical Center over the weekend for a stab wound to the chest, the result of being attacked by a man in the 800 block of Washington Boulevard.

* SHOOTING: Southern District -- A resident of the 1700 block of Light St. was shot in the chest early Tuesday near his home by a gunman who escaped. The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital '' and admitted. Information on his condition was unavailable.

* SCHOOL BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into Barclay Elementary school in the 2900 block of Barclay St. Monday night or Tuesday morning through a window and stole a typewriter and other office equipment, all valued at $350.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered an apartment in the first block of E. 33rd St. Monday through a bathroom door and stole stereo equipment, jewelry and a coat, all valued at more than $600.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- A compact disc player valued at $500 was stolen from an office at Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. over the weekend by someone who entered with a key.

* BURGLARY: Towson District -- A VCR was stolen from a house in the first block of Cedar Ave. Tuesday morning by someone who entered by breaking a window.

* BURGLARY TRY: Towson District -- Someone tried to enter a house in the 1300 block of Halstead Road Tuesday morning by breaking a dead-bolt lock on the front door. The noise awakened the occupant who discovered the front porch light had been unscrewed.

* AUTO THEFT: Towson District -- A 1987 Chevrolet Spectrum was stolen from in front of a house in the first block of Treeway Court Tuesday afternoon by someone who left a stolen 1983 Mazda in its place. The Mazda had been stolen in the city Dec. 9.
