Women's player quits UMBC

UMBC women's basketball player Tanissa Dorsey withdre from the university for personal reasons yesterday, the school announced.

A 5-6 guard, Dorsey played in four of the Retrievers' five games, averaging 3.8 points and 1.8 rebounds. She was one of five freshmen on the team.

A graduate of Glenelg High, where she was a first-team All-Metro selection by The Baltimore Sun her senior year, Dorsey was added to the UMBC roster last summer.
