* STOLEN AUTO: Central District -- A 1986 Mitsubishi was stolen yesterday from the 700 block of W. Fayette St.

* BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone broke into a home in the 1100 block of Argyle Ave. yesterday and stole $799 worth of stereo equipment.

* AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: r Central District -- Two men were arrested after they beat each other with a piece of metal during a domestic dispute yesterday at 11:05 a.m. in the 200 block of N. Charles St.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Central District -- A woman was robbed of a tube of lipstick as she was walking in the 2100 block of W. Lafayette Ave. at 9 p.m. Saturday by a man wearing an orange jacket and armed with a gun.

* STOLEN AUTO: Central District -- A tan 1986 Chevrolet Nova was stolen from the 400 block of Orchard St. Saturday between 7:10 and 9:10 p.m.

* BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone kicked in the door of a home in the 2100 block of Park Ave. Saturday night and stole two television sets and video games valued at $976.

* ASSAULT/ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A man was robbed of his jewelry and money in the 1700 block of Darley Ave. at 3 a.m. yesterday. Police said the assailant was armed with a handgun.

* ASSAULT/ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A man who was walking in the 1200 block of Milton Ave. at 3 a.m. yesterday was cut in the back and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.

* AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Eastern District -- A man pointed a gun at a woman during a domestic dispute in the 1100 block of Barclay Ave. at 3:15 a.m. yesterday. No shots were fired.

* ASSAULT/ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A woman was robbed of her purse at 4 a.m. yesterday as she was walking in the 1200 block of Kitmore Road.

* ASSAULT/ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A gunman robbed the Super Pride Grocery Store in the 1700 block of East Northern Parkway at 10:30 a.m. yesterday. Police said the robber got into a cashier's line and, when it was his turn, demanded money from the cash register. The clerk gave the man $525.

* ASSAULT/ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A gunman robbed the U-Haul store in the 4600 block of Belair Road at 5:45 p.m. Saturday. Police said the gunman hit the clerk in the face and took $900.

* ASSAULT/ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A woman was robbed of her purse in the 2900 block of Grindon Ave. at 10:40 p.m. Saturday. Police said the robber grabbed the woman around the neck before he snatched her purse and ran.

* PURSE SNATCH: Northern District -- A robber snatched a woman's purse at 12:30 a.m. yesterday in the 5800 block of York Road.

* AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Northern District -- A woman was cut in the hand during an argument with a man in the 2800 block of Edgecombe Circle North at 1:25 a.m. yesterday.

* AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Northern District -- A woman was beaten in the face during a domestic dispute in the 3700 block of Greenspring Ave. at 2:30 a.m. yesterday.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Burglars broke into a home in the 600 block of Chestnut Hill Road sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. yesterday. The thieves broke a kitchen window and took clothing valued at $540.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone broke into a home in the 2700 block of Maryland Ave. through a kitchen window yesterday between noon and 1 p.m. and took jewelry and Christmas gifts valued at $1,825.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man who took a ride from another man in the 400 block of Northern Parkway at 1 a.m. yesterday was robbed of $600 in cash and other property.

* PURSE SNATCH: Northwestern District -- A robber snatched a woman's purse containing $200 at 9:30 a.m. yesterday. Police said the woman was walking in the 4600 block of Wallington Ave. when the assailant walked up behind her and grabbed the purse.

* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A 31-year-old man was robbed of his Huffy bicycle early yesterday in the 3700 block of Garrison Ave. Police said a gunman walked up to the man and demanded his money and hit him in the face before taking the bicycle.

* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A woman who was walking in the first block of Broadway at 3:10 a.m. yesterday when a man snatched her purse and ran.

* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A man who was walking in the 500 block of Broadway at 2 a.m. yesterday was robbed of his wallet containing credit cards and money.

* ARSON: Southeastern District -- Someone started a fire on the porch of a home in the 5100 block of Ponca St. at 6:15 p.m. The fire damaged patio furniture.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* ATTEMPTED MURDER: Woodlawn District -- An 18-year-old man was charged with attempted murder after hitting another man, age 19, with a pipe during an argument in the 6400 block of Security Blvd. about 4:50 a.m. yesterday. The suspect was identified as Aaron Burke of the first block of Rocky Brook Court in Woodlawn.
