Christ the King tops Mt. Hebron

MIDDLE VILLAGE, N.Y. -- Six-foot-1 sophomore Chamique Holdschaw scored a game-high 14 points to lead Christ the King, ranked third nationally by USA Today, to a 42-24 victory over Mount Hebron last night.

Kristen Lloyd scored eight to lead Mount Hebron (2-2), ranked fourth by The Baltimore Sun. Christ the King (2-0), which is a three-time defending state champion, took a 21-7 lead into halftime.

"I'm a little disappointed because we missed some shots I think we should have made, but we didn't embarrass ourselves," Mount Hebron coach Dave Greenberg said.
