Two of Harford's state delegates have been named to key financial committees in the state House of Delegates.

Del. Donald C. Fry, D-District 35A, has been named to the House of Delegates' Appropriations Committee, which will review the state budget during the General Assembly session.

Del. David R. Craig, a Republican from District 34, has been chosen to sit on the Ways and Means Committee, the other committee that deals with financial issues affecting the state.

Mr. Fry, a freshman Democrat from Harford's District 35A, wilserve as vice chairman of the Subcommittee on Education and Transportation, which is chaired by Del. Timothy Maloney, a Democrat representing District 21 of Prince George's County.

"The subcommittee will be reviewing the budgets for the stadium authority, the convention center, the governor's office, the judiciary, colleges and public school construction," said Mr. Fry.

"More than half of the state budget will come through this subcommittee," he added.

He said the task this year will be for legislators to restructure government services in view of the projected state deficit.
