Baltimore City

SHOOTING/ARREST: Western District -- Greenwood Armstrong, of the 2200 block of Madison Ave. was listed in serious condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center after being shot in the chest with a handgun by one of two men who forced their way into his home Wednesday night. Later, police went to a house in the 2300 block of McCulloh St. and arrested Anthony Daniels, 19, and charged him with attempted murder and using a handgun in the commission of a felony. Mr. Daniels also was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine paraphernalia and possession of a sawed-off shotgun. He also had an outstanding warrant against him in an unrelated incident. Mr. Daniels was being held at the police station in lieu of nearly $2 million bail.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Victor Morrison, 30, of the 1400 block of Lemmon St., was listed in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after he was shot in the stomach Thursday night outside the Lucky carryout in the 1100 block of W. Baltimore St. during an attempted robbery by two men, one armed with a handgun. The gunman and his accomplice escaped.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1800 block of W. Saratoga St. through a rear door Wednesday and stole a 9mm Intratec semiautomatic handgun valued at $325.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Am AM-FM clock radio valued at $30 was stolen Wednesday by someone who entered the Black Education Project in the 2300 block of W. North Ave.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a car parked in the 800 block of Whitmore Ave. Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and stole 38 cassette tapes valued at $200.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 3600 block of Paskin Place in Baltimore County was inside a store in the 2400 block of Edmondson Ave. Wednesday night when he was robbed of his blue leather jacket by three gunmen. The jacket was valued at $500.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered Harkins Builders in the 1500 block of W. North Ave. Wednesday night after removing a section of aluminum siding from a wall and stole office equipment valued at more than $500.

STABBING/ARRESTSTABBING/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a woman Thursday afternoon and were holding her at the Women's Detention Center pending charges that she stabbed a female resident of the 1600 block of Division St. during an argument inside a house in the 900 block of Arlington Ave. The victim, Renee Robinson, was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment and released.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Western District -- Gilbert Bates, 25, of the 1800 block of Harlem Ave., was arrested and charged with robbing a resident of the 1700 block of Franklin St. of $20 at gunpoint near the victim's home Thursday morning. Mr. Bates also was wanted by the state police and was being held at the station in lieu of $75,000 bail.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a car parked in the 800 block of W. Baltimore St. Thursday by breaking a window and stole $122 in food stamps and a stereo system valued at nearly $2,000.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A house in the 600 block of N. Carey St. was entered Thursday by someone who stole food stamps and stereo recording and receiving equipment.

CHURCH BURGLARYCHURCH BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the Amos United Memorial Church in the 600 block of Baker St. Wednesday night through a basement window and stole a TV valued at $164.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1700 block of N. Fulton Ave. was robbed of his VCR Thursday morning during an argument at his home with a man he knows. The VCR was valued at more than $300.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1300 block of N. Calvert St. Thursday morning and stole a VCR and stereo equipment, all valued at nearly $700.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Three TVs, all valued at $200, were stolen Thursday from a house in the 2300 block of Druid Hill Ave. by someone who entered through a rear door.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1200 block of Bloomingdale Road was robbed of $40 in the 600 block of N. Payson St. Thursday night by a man who implied he was armed with a handgun.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a rented car owned by the Avis Corp. in the 300 block of W. Baltimore St. while it was parked in the 1900 block of W. Lexington St. Thursday and stole a leather coat and stereo equipment, all valued at nearly $600.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Three gold rings, a gold watch and an antique ring were stolen by someone who entered a house in the 700 block of Whitmore Ave. Thursday through a rear door. The value of the jewelry was not known.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one who implied he was armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1500 block of McCulloh St. of $18 Thursday night in the 1700 block of Riggs Ave.
