Arundel to honor those who helped in hurricane relief

December 18, 1992

County officials are looking for residents who were involved in the relief effort for victims of hurricane Andrew so that they can be honored at a reception this month.

County Executive Robert R. Neall said that he wanted to find a way to recognize all the people in the county who assisted in sending food, clothing and building supplies to South Florida and parts of Mississippi.

Anyone who was involved in an organized relief effort will be invited to attend the reception, which will be held Dec. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Arundel Center in Annapolis.

Those wanting to recommend someone to be honored can call the public information office at 222-1288.
