Magazines pan Crawford's workout video

Cindy Crawford's best-selling workout video, "Cindy Crawford: Shape Your Body Workout," gets an F in the January issue of Shape, which calls it ineffective and downright unsafe.

The magazine notes that the model "generally uses terrible form to demonstrate risky, ineffective moves and she doesn't seem to understand the word 'aerobic.' "

It adds her trainer, Radu Teodorescu, "fails to provide even the most basic safety or alignment cues." Mr. Teodorescu countered Shape "should broaden their horizons and understand there are many areas of training."

Previously, Peg Jordan, editor of American Fitness, said the tape has "at least 10 movements . . . that have been banned for years" and is generally "not consistent with the basic standards and guidelines set by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America."

Too late. Two million copies already sold at $20 per.
