Driver charged in collision with bar

A 35-year-old Silver Spring man was charged with drunken driving early yesterday after he crashed his car into the wall of a bar in Odenton's Boomtown Strip.

According to the police report, officers were called to Bill's Lounge in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road at 2:21 a.m. for a burglary alarm that was sounding.

When they arrived, they found that a car that had crashed into the wall of the bar, causing the alarm to go off.

The driver of the car, Sung Kim of the 12000 block of Layhill Road, was taken to Western District station to be charged.

POLICE

* Crofton: Burglars stole camera equipment and money, with a total value of $1,585, from an apartment in the 2900 block of Coldspring Way Monday.

* Crofton: Thieves broke into a home in the 1600 block of Patrice Circle between Friday and Sunday and stole a generator valued at $500.
