Baltimore City

ROBBERY/SHOT FIRED: Western District -- A United Parcel Service investigator broke up an attempted robbery of a company truck at 4 p.m. Tuesday and was shot at, but not hit, in the process. Two men, one with a gun, took truck keys from a driver in the 2400 block of Calverton Heights Ave. But as the gunman went to the rear of the truck, Gary Kulik, the investigator who had seen the robbery of the keys, approached. The shot was fired at him, but the two robbers ran off without getting anything.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A warrant was to be issued today for a man who placed a gun to the head of a woman in the 1600 block of N. Calvert St. Monday and ordered her to give up her property. The suspect and the woman, who lives in the 1600 block of N. Calvert St., know each other. The woman was not injured.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Gold and diamond bracelets, rings and other jewelry valued at $4,000 were stolen from a house in the 2800 block of Baker St. Monday morning by someone who entered through a window on the roof.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 600 block of Cumberland St. is listed in good condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center after being shot in the side Monday night a block from home.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 2800 block of Brighton St. Monday morning through a rear door and stole $30.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1100 block of N. Fremont Ave. was robbed of his coat Monday by three men who assaulted him in the 2300 block of Warwick Ave.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Two men, one with a gun, robbed the attendant at the Secure parking lot in the 700 block of Eastern Ave. Tuesday night of an undisclosed sum.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone entered a car Tuesday while it was parked in the 200 block of N. Liberty St. and stole two model houses used for Christmas decorations. The houses were valued at $300.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered a truck owned by the Abbott Brothers Plumbing Co. in the 3600 block of Elm Ave. while it was parked near the company's property over the weekend and stole power tools valued at $900.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A TV, VCR, camcorder and at least two police scanners, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from a house in the 3500 block of Hickory Ave. Monday by someone who enter through a rear door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Jewelry valued at more than $13,000 was stolen from a house in the 2100 block of Western Run Drive over the weekend by someone who forced a rear bedroom window.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Someone entered a house in the 2400 block of Cub Hill Road Tuesday afternoon through an unlocked side door and ransacked several rooms, stealing $150 and jewelry valued at $7,000.

ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- A man with a sawed-off shotgun robbed the Hair Cuttery in the first block of Melrose Ave. Tuesday of an undiscosed sum. The gunman drove off.

ROBBERY: North Point District -- A man with a large hunting knife robbed the Crown service station in the 1500 block of Merritt Blvd. of an undisclosed sum early today. The man, who had a large slash mark on his wrist, told a station attendant he had tried to kill himself earlier. The man drove off in a primer-colored car.

ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- A resident of the 8800 block of Pensbury Place was robbed of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $85, Tuesday night while getting out of her car in front of her home by two men.

AUTO THEFT/FIRE: Cockeysville District -- Someone stole a 1990 Honda Accord from the 1700 block of Troyer Road in Monkton about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, drove it to Priceville Road and Bellclaire Circle in Sparks, and set it on fire less than 20 minutes later.

AUTO THEFT: White Marsh District -- A 1987 Chevrolet Iroc, valued at $7,500, was stolen Tuesday from the parking lot at the White Marsh Mall in the 8200 block of Perry Hall Blvd.

AUTO THEFT: White Marsh District -- A 1988 Hyundai was stolen from the parking lot of Essex Community College in the 7200 block of Rossville Blvd. Tuesday afternoon.

Harford County

THEFT: Joppa -- At least two outside telephones in the 700 block of Pulaski Highway were vandalized Tuesday by someone who stole money. Damage to the phones and the money taken was estimated at near $500.

THEFT: Joppa -- A multispeed bike and a bike rack, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from atop a car parked in the 1200 block of Mountain Road between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

THEFT: Havre de Grace -- Someone stole a multispeed bike and a mail box, all valued at more than $300, from a home in the 500 block of Craig's Corner Road over the weekend.
