Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of W. North Ave. was shot in the chest and right leg Sunday night while walking down an alley near his home. A man carrying two handguns stepped out from behind the side of a building and opened fire. The victim is listed in good condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of N. Carey St. Sunday and stole nearly $260 from the bedroom.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property of unknown value was stolen from a house in the 300 block of N. Fulton Ave. Sunday by someone who entered through a basement door.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A TV, VCR and cassette tapes, all valued at $430, were stolen from a house in the 1300 block of W. Lexington St. over the weekend by someone who entered through a bedroom window.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A VCR was stolen from a house && in the 500 block of N. Carrollton Ave. over the weekend by someone who entered through the front door.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered King's beauty salon in the 1800 block of W. North Ave. through a basement window over the weekend and stole property of unknown value.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1300 block of Myrtle Ave. of $20 Monday morning in the 1000 block of N. Stricker St.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A deliveryman for Smelkinson Sysco in Jessup was in the 2800 block of Rayner Ave. Monday afternoon when a gunman robbed him of nearly $400.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into the Universal Tabernacle Church in the 1800 block of N. Payson St. Monday morning and stole a telephone valued at $35.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a resident of the 1500 block of Waverly Way of two rings and a watch in the 1600 block of W. North Ave. Monday morning.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A VCR valued at $350 was stolen from a house in the 2800 block of Elgin Ave. Monday morning by someone who entered through a rear bedroom window.

ROBBERIES: Northwestern District -- Three men walking in the 3100 block of Garrison Blvd. Sunday night were robbed of their cash and property, all valued at more than $700, by three men, two armed with handguns.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a car in the 5500 block of Gist Ave. over the weekend and stole a cellular telephone valued at $200.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Property valued at $368 was stolen from a car while it was parked in the 2900 block of Oakhill Ave. over the weekend.

THEFT: Central District -- A violin and car phone, together valued at more than $500, were stolen from a Severn man's car Monday while it was parked in the 1600 block of St. Paul St.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone entered a car in the 800 block of N. Eutaw St. Monday and stole an electric saw and a power drill.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A gunman robbed Thinking of You, a shop in the Pratt Street pavilion at Harborplace in the 200 block of E. Pratt St., Monday night and took an undisclosed sum of cash.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone entered a house in the 600 block of Brune St. Sunday morning through a living room window while the occupant was sleeping and stole a VCR and other pieces of property, all valued at nearly $400.

RAPE: Central District -- A man raped a woman Sunday afternoon inside a house in the 2300 block of N. Howard St. while threatening her with a broken bottle. The woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center and released.

THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- Allen Bryant, of the 1500 block of N. Gilmor St., was arrested over the weekend and charged with stealing several bottles of a headache medicine from McCrory's in the 200 block of W. Lexington St.

THEFT: Central District -- A wool coat valued at $225 was stolen from a car owned by a resident of the 8300 block of Morven Road in Baltimore County Saturday while it was parked in the 100 block of S. Gay St.

THEFT: Central District -- Computer equipment was stolen Sunday from the offices of the Maryland State Department of Education in the 200 block of W. Baltimore St.

THEFT: Central District -- A coat and jewelry, all valued at $170, were stolen Sunday from a car while it was parked in the 100 block of E. Redwood St.

THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- Constance Wages, of the 2300 block of Whittier Ave., was arrested Saturday by a security officer at the Stop, Shop & Save in the 700 block of W. North Ave. when she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for five packages of beef steaks valued at nearly $22.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a couple sitting in a car in the 600 block of Washington Blvd. of their cash and property, all valued at $125, early Sunday morning.
