Laurel guard remains critical

A Laurel Race Course traffic guard who was hit by a pickup truck on Sunday remained in critical condition yesterday in the intensive care unit of the Prince George's-Cheverly Hospital.

Charles Dixon, 67, sustained head injuries after he was struck by another track employee while directing traffic after the last race.
