POLICE LOG

* Elkridge: 6300 block of Route 1: Someone smashed glass to the front door at Donmac Trading Cards Wednesday, and took a cash register. The suspect may have fled in a dark blue Hyundai Excel. He is described as a clean-shaven white male in his 30s. He has short dark hair and was wearing jeans and a multicolored shirt.

* Ellicott City: 9300 block of Furrow Ave.: Four tires valued at $1,000 were stolen from a 1992 Jeep Tuesday.

* 10100 block of Green Clover Drive: Someone broke into a van Dec. 5, and stole two woofers valued at $304, two Motorola tweeters valued at $20 and a $100 speaker box.

* 9200 block of Baltimore National Pike: A steel pole holding a Christmas banner, which was attached to a light pole at the Chatham Mall, fell on a 1988 Honda and shattered its rear window Dec. 5.
