ARRESTS: Central District -- Police arrested two men Sunday inside a car that was reported stolen Saturday in the 1000 block of N. Charles St. The men were being held at the police station pending charges and a bail hearing. The scene of the arrest was not immediately known.
BURGLARY: Central District -- Someone entered an apartment in the 1300 block of Myrtle Ave. over the weekend and stole a purse containing $325 from a bedroom closet.
ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 100 block of N. Fremont Ave. was robbed of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $600, Saturday by two men in the 700 block of W. Pratt St.
THEFT: Central District -- Someone broke into a vehicle owned by Gelco Corp. in the 2300 block of N. Charles St. while it was parked in the 1500 block of N. Charles St. over the weekend and stole jewelry valued at $700.
SCHOOL BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered the Calverton Middle School in the 1100 block of Whitmore Ave. over the weekend and stole property of unknown value from the cafeteria.
THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a 1990 Mercury Saturday while it was parked in the 1200 block of W. North Ave. by breaking a window and stole a radar detector valued at nearly $150.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2800 block of Rayner Ave. was in the 2800 block of Harlem Ave. about 2 a.m. Sunday when she was assaulted and robbed of $9 by two woman she knows.
BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Property valued at $600 was stolen Sunday morning from the Lafayette Square Community Center in the 1500 block of W. Lafayette Ave. by someone who entered through a rear window. Later, police arrested a suspect in the case and were holding him at the station pending charges.
ASSAULT: Western District -- Police were seeking a woman who stabbed a resident of the 2100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. with a screwdriver during an incident Sunday morning in the 900 block of Bennett Place. The victim sustained a minor injury and refused treatment.
THEFT: Western District -- A computer game and cartridges, all valued at nearly $350, were stolen over the weekend from a car parked in the 2300 block of W. North Ave.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- A deliveryman for Vizzini's pizza in the 1000 block of W. Patapsco Ave. was robbed of $33 and food Sunday night in the 2800 block of Booker Drive in Cherry Hill by two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun.
SCHOOL ARSON: Southwestern District -- Someone entered the Lyndhurst Elementary School in the 600 block of Wildwood Parkway about 9 p.m. Sunday through a window and set a fire inside a classroom. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters. Police said the school was expected to be open today.
BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3300 block of Walbrook Ave. through a side window Saturday and stole property and cash, all valued at $200.
BURGLARY/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Nathaniel Hill, of the 4100 block of Belle Ave., was arrested Sunday and charged with breaking into Thompson's Deli in the 1500 block of Bloomingdale Road. Entry was gained by someone removing an exterior exhaust fan from the side of the building.
ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who kicked Ellwood Anthony, of the first block of S. Rosedale St. in the face with his steel-toed boots, breaking Mr. Anthony's jaw and knocking out several teeth, during an incident in the first block of S. Caton Ave. Saturday. Mr. Anthony was taken to St. Agnes Hospital for treatment.
BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered Pete's Bar in the 2200 block of W. Pratt St. Sunday morning through a basement window and stole $20 out of the cash register.
BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Cash and property, all valued at $350, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 100 block of S. Monastery Ave. by someone who entered through the front door.
STAND-OFF/ARREST: Essex District -- A man who lives in the first block of Rumelia Circle, was arrested Sunday night following a stand-off with police in the 1100 block of Glemsford Road. Officer William Frieze said the man reportedly assaulted a woman during a domestic situation inside the Glemsford Road apartment about 9:40 p.m. He then reportedly fired two shots at the woman with a small-caliber semiautomatic handgun. The woman was not hit. At 11:15 p.m., the man, who was unarmed, walked out of the apartment and was arrested. A dog trained to find firearms was used in an attempt to locate the weapon. Officer Frieze said Kenneth Blair, 28, was charged with assault ,, with intent to kill, assault and battery and discharging a firearm. He was held overnight at the police station pending a bail hearing today before a District Court commissioner.
TREE THEFT/ARREST: Edgewood -- State Police arrested a man Sunday who reportedly stole 128 Douglas fir Christmas trees, valued at $1,500, from a man in the 1900 block of Pulaski Highway Friday, then took the trees less than a mile away and set up his own Christmas tree sales operation. Police went to a vacant lot Sunday and arrested a suspect after the trees were identified as having been the victim's. It was not immediately known how the trees were identified. The suspect's name was withheld pending formal charges of theft.
