Kimbrew, UMES avenge loss to Salisbury with 86-80 win

SALISBURY -- Senior guard Marlin Kimbrew scored 21 point and had 16 rebounds last night to lead UMES (2-3) to an 86-80 win over Salisbury State (3-4) at the Wicomico Civic Center.

Kevin Cromer and Dameon Ross led Salisbury with 21 points each.

The Division III Sea Gulls, who upset the Division I Hawks last season, 111-74, led 43-39 at halftime.

Guards Zack Allison and Dale Harrison, both junior-college transfers, combined for 32 points for UMES.

Despite the loss, Salisbury leads the series, 7-6.
