Baltimore City

FIRES SET: Southeastern District -- Police were seeking a man who set at least four fires early today in the 100 block of Albermarle St. The man, believed to be intoxicated, set the contents of two trash bins ablaze and set smaller fires on the outside of the vacant Baltimore brewing company and a tavern. Damage to the buildings was slight and no injuries were reported. A flammable liquid was believed used to start the fires.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone stole two speakers, a stereo receiver and a Smith & Wesson revolver, all valued at $1,222, from a house in the 3500 block of Chestnut Ave. between Dec. 4 and Tuesday. Entry was made through a basement door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Two fax machines valued at nearly $1,300 were stolen from the offices of two businesses in the same building in the 100 block of E. 25th St. Wednesday by someone who entered each office through a window.

BURGLARY: Central District -- Three carpets and a chair, all valued at nearly $1,200, were stolen Monday from a home in the 2100 block of Bolton St. by someone who entered through a rear door.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Central District -- A warrant has been issued for a man who threatened a man with a knife in the first block of E. Eager St. over the weekend.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone stole a coat and a teddy bear valued at $125 from a North Carolina-licensed car in the 200 block of E. Pratt St. Wednesday.

THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- A man was arrested Tuesday when he attempted to leave the McCrory's store in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Ave. without paying for extension cords valued at nearly $15.

THEFT/ARRESTS: Central District -- Police arrested two men Tuesday evening when they tried to leave New York Fashions in the 200 block of W. Lexington St. without paying for three pants suits.

THEFT: Central District -- A purse with $200 in cash and goods left unattended on a chair was stolen in a building in the 100 block of Marketplace Tuesday night.

SHOOTING: Western District -- A Reisterstown Road man was listed in stable condition at Sinai Hospital with wounds to both legs after two gunmen shot him near his home Tuesday. The gunmen and two accomplices wore ski masks.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Russ Sellman, 42, of the 2200 block of Walbrook Ave., was arrested Tuesday night and charged with assaulting a woman by pointing a .32-caliber gun at her after she ordered him from her house in the 2100 block of Ridgehill Ave. He was released on $15,000 bail.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone stole power tools valued at $300 from a roofing company's truck Wednesday morning in the 1300 block of Laurens St.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man with an unknown weapon robbed a resident of the 2500 block of W. Pratt St. of his wallet in the 100 block of N. Smallwood St. Tuesday night.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 900 block of St. Dunstan's Road of cash and property, all valued at $506, Monday afternoon in the 1300 block of N. Fulton Ave.

ROBBERY TRY/SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A gunman shot a Winterbourne Road man in the arm and shoulder during a robbery attempt Wednesday afternoon in the 1600 block of N. Rosedale St. The victim was treated at Bon Secours Hospital.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone stole several cartons of cigarettes from a Royal Farm store in the 4600 block of Bowleys Lane Wednesday morning after breaking the front glass door.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A gunman stole more than $100 from Bayside Video in the 4900 block of Frankford Ave. Wednesday morning.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A man who implied he had a gun robbed a Kirk Avenue resident of $20 Wednesday night in the 4900 block of Gunther Ave.

Baltimore County

THEFT: White Marsh District -- While the attention of an employee of Sally's Beauty Salon at the Fullerton Plaza Shopping Center in the 7900 block of Belair Road was diverted Wednesday evening, several people entered the back of the shop and removed an undisclosed sum of cash from a safe. The suspects drove off in three cars.

ROBBERY: Garrison District -- A gunman robbed the 7-Eleven store in the 9100 block of Liberty Road around 1 a.m. Thursday and escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash.

Harford County

ASSAULT: Jarrettsville -- The owner of a tree farm in the 4300 block of St. Clair Bridge Road was assaulted by two men trying to steal a fir tree Wednesday night. The men then drove off in a truck with Pennsylvania license plates.
