Four countians receive academic scholarships

Two Ellicott City residents -- Marta Ericsson and Kathleen Rigby -- and two Columbia residents -- Susan Dietrich and Linda Williams -- have received Wilson Scholarships from the University of Baltimore. The scholarship is awarded for outstanding academic achievement.

Ms. Ericsson, a business major, and Ms. Rigby, a political science major, both are graduates of Howard Community College. Ms. Dietrich, a graduate student in applied psychology, graduated from Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Williams, a finance major, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Baltimore.


* Ellicott City: 4600 block of Oakview Court: Someone entered an unlocked 1984 Buick Century and stole $1 in coins and an ashtray cup between Saturday and Sunday.

* 3600 block of Font Hill Drive: Someone broke out the sidwindows to a 1984 Chevrolet truck between Friday and Saturday.

* 5500 block of Hunting Horn Drive: Someone entered a JeeWrangler between Saturday and Sunday, damaging the door.

* 9100 block of Northfield Road: A $300 yellow-greeDiamondback 18-inch boy's bicycle was stolen from Dunloggin Middle School Nov. 2.
