* Dave Daniecki, Loyola, 189, Sr. -- Third-ranked Daniecki (29-3, 17 pins) was an All-Metro selection and MSA champ. He was third and second, respectively, in the past two National Prep tournaments.

* Zack Fowl, Aberdeen, 119, Sr. -- A two-time Harford County, regional and state champion, top-ranked Fowl (32-1, 16 pins) is a two-time All-Metro pick who wrestled with the state's summer national team.

* Grant Johnson, Owings Mills, 171, Sr. -- Top-ranked by the Maryland State Wrestling Association, Johnson (33-1, 10 pins) is a two-time All-Metro and two-time state champ. He placed seventh in the summer nationals to become the state's first undergraduate All-American.

* Gregg Kessler, Owings Mills, 135, Sr. -- Kessler (34-1, 20 pins), a second-team All-Metro last season, is a top-ranked, two-time Baltimore County and 2A-1A state champion with outstanding overall mat skills.

* Johnny Montgomery, Randallstown, 152, Sr. -- Top-ranked by the MSWA, Montgomery (33-1, nine pins) was an All-Metro pick, winning Baltimore County, regional and state titles after going 19-1 as a sophomore.

* Jeremy Myers, North Carroll, 112, Sr. -- Top-ranked Myers (30-1, 19 pins) is a returning All-Metro pick and county, regional and 2A-1A state champ.

* Kevin Neville, Mount St. Joseph, 152, Sr. -- An All-Metro pick and MSA champ, Neville (30-2, 24 pins) is top-ranked by the MSWA. He wrestled with the state's national team this summer.

* Marc Procaccini, Old Mill, 160, Sr. -- A second-team All-Metro pick and an Anne Arundel County, regional and state champion, third-ranked Procaccini (27-2-1, nine pins) relies on technique.

* Tim Spielman, Loyola, 130, Sr. -- Spielman (27-4) is going for his third straight MSA title. He owns a victory over Calvert Hall's third-ranked Brendan James, last year's 125-pound MSA champ.

* Rick Staab, Dundalk, 145, Sr. -- Third-ranked Staab (32-1, 10 pins) is a two-time Baltimore County champ and won last year's regional and 4A-3A state titles. He was third in the region and fourth in the state as a sophomore.

* Charlie Bennett, Broadneck, 119, Sr. -- A two-time regional champion, fourth-ranked Bennett (31-4) was third in the state after winning it as a sophomore. He has been an Anne Arundel County runner-up twice.

* Greg Booth, Arundel, 171, Sr. -- Booth (28-6, fourth state) was Anne Arundel County and region runner-up, including a pin of Wilde Lake's No. 4-ranked Nate Casella.

* Nate Casella, Wilde Lake, 189, Sr. -- A three-time Howard County champ, No. 4-ranked Casella (22-4, 12 pins) was last year's regional champ and 2A-1A state tournament runner-up.

* Jesse Channel, Hereford, 160, Sr. -- Second-ranked by the MSWA, Channel (26-4-1) rebounded to win the 2A-1A state title after finishing third in both Baltimore County and the region.

* Minh Dang, Edgewood, 125, Sr. -- Ranked No. 3 by the MSWA, Dang (26-4, 10 pins, six techs) was a county champ, third in the region and a 2A-1A state runner-up.

* Danny DeVivo, Mount St. Joseph, 160, Soph. -- A MSA runner-up and honorable-mention All-Metro pick, No. 2-ranked DeVivo (37-6, 12 pins) wrestled with the state's national team.

* Wayde Ezell, Pikesville, hvy., Sr. -- The 6-1, 275-pound Ezell (20-7), ranked No. 3 by the MSWA, was third in both Baltimore County and the region, placing fourth at the 2A-1A states.

* Wayne Gast, EVT, 119, Sr. -- Gast (29-4), ranked No. 5 by the MSWA, was third in Baltimore County, a regional champ, and pinned his way to a 4A-3A state runner-up finish.

* Mike Green, Wilde Lake, 171, Jr. -- In only his second year of wrestling, No. 6-ranked Green (20-4-1, six pins) won Howard County and region titles, placing third in the 2A-1A state meet.

* Gary Harris, Milford Mill, 112, Jr. -- A second-ranked, Baltimore County and regional champ, Harris (30-1) was unbeaten until his state final 5-3 loss to North Carroll's Jeremy Myers.

* Gerard Harrison, Gilman, 119, Sr. -- Third-ranked MSA runner-up Harrison (29-6, 13 pins, two technical falls) uses quickness and technique. He split wins with Calvert Hall's eventual National Prep champ Greg Knox.

* Doug Horton, Chesapeake-AA, 140, Jr. -- An Anne Arundel County and regional champ, Horton (28-5) recorded 12 of his 15 pins in the first period last year.

* Jerry Hudson, Franklin, 130, Sr. -- A fourth-ranked Baltimore County and regional champion, the 5-10 Hudson (24-3, 16 pins) was third in the 4A-3A state meet.

* Brendan James, Calvert Hall, 135, Sr. -- Third-ranked by the MSWA, James (20-6) wrestled with the state's national team and goes for his second straight MSA title.

* Marty Kusick, Northeast-AA, 112, Soph. -- Fourth-ranked Marty (27-1-1, nine pins, five tech falls) was Anne Arundel county and regional champ, placing third in the states. He wrestled with the Cadet national team over the summer.

* Mike Kusick, Northeast-AA, 119, Soph. -- Second-ranked Mike (29-3, seven pins, nine) was Anne Arundel County champ and a regional and state runner-up. He wrestled with the summer Cadet national team.
