Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Western District -- A man was shot in the back at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday by an unidentified man in the 2000 block of Edmondson Ave. shortly after an argument between the two. The victim was listed in good condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a private club in the 1600 block of Lawrence St. of $99 about 11 p.m. Monday.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A woman reported she was robbed of $20 in cash by a gunman who approached her about 10 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of Madison Ave.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman took about $20 from a man walking in the 600 block of Appleton St. shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday.

ASSAULT, CAR THEFT: Western District -- Several men beat up a motorist who had given them a ride shortly before 3:20 a.m. Tuesday and took the vehicle, a 1977 Chevrolet. The driver was not badly injured, and the car was later found in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. The victim said he had picked the men up in the 1500 block of Whittier Ave. after they asked for a ride.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A woman reported she was grabbed from behind in the 2100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday by a man, who stole $190 from her.

STABBING: Western District -- A man was cut on the left arm and index finger about 5 a.m. Tuesday in an argument with another man at the victim's home in the 1100 block of N. Stricker St. Thomas Paul, 19, of the 1800 block of Druid Hill Ave. was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- Three men, at least one of whom carried a gun, robbed a man of about $20 in the 2300 block of McCulloh St. at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A color television worth $175 was reported stolen at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday from a home in the 600 block of Gold St.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a home in the 2800 block of Walbrook Ave. on Monday night and stole a washer and a dryer valued at $600.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A videocassette recorder, a camera, assorted jewelry and a telephone were reported stolen at 6:35 a.m. Monday from the 500 block of Carrollton Ave.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A man with a gun stole $287 from a man walking in the 2300 block of W. Baltimore St. about 9:15 p.m. Monday.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A television worth $400 was stolen between Wednesday and Monday from the Self Discovery Early Learning Center in the 1200 block of Sherwood Ave.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A television, a videocassette recorder, a telephone and a heater, all valued at $935, were stolen sometime between Wednesday and Sunday from an apartment in the 3800 block of Frankford Ave.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Tools valued at $758 were stolen from from a storage trailer at a work site in the 5900 block of Erdman Ave. before 1:50 p.m. Sunday. The trailer was broken into after the thief cut a hole in a fence.

ARMED ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two men, one with a gun, stole $70 from the Kavon Groceries store in the 4400 block of Kavon Ave. at 3 p.m. Monday.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Five men held up the Athlete's Foot store in the 4600 block of Edmondson Ave. and took $1,038 worth of items about 10:35 a.m. Monday.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A gunman robbed Jon's Grocery in the 3200 block of Normount Ave. of $350 at 2:15 p.m. Monday.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man was robbed of $320 by a gunman in the 4200 block of Woodridge Road about 8:20 p.m. Monday.

FIRE: Southwestern District -- A vacant rowhouse in the 400 block of S. Payson St. was gutted by a fire that started about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday. No one was injured and the fire was extinguished shortly after 2 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

STABBING: Northern District -- An 18-year-old man was stabbed over an eye with a steak knife by a man in a home in the 1500 block of Baldwin St. about 3 p.m. Sunday. The victim was taken to Union Memorial Hospital for stitches over his eye.

RAPE: Northern District -- A 15-year-old girl was raped about 3 p.m. Sunday on the parking lot of the Chinquapin Middle School in the 900 block of Woodbourne Ave.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone stole $2,850 worth of office equipment from the East Baltimore Community Association in the 5500 block of Ivanhoe Ave. The theft occurred between Wednesday and Monday after the thief used a pry tool to gain entry.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one with a gun, demanded money from a man walking in the 300 block of N. Kerry St. about 8 p.m. Tuesday. But the men were scared off when a motorist in a parked car nearby started beeping his horn to attract attention.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone stole 50 cents from a home in the 2500 block of Calverton Heights Ave. The break-in occurred sometime between 1:10 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday when the burglar forced open a rear door.
