Farm Fresh to close store on Dec. 12

Farm Fresh will close its Pasadena store on Dec. 12. The grocery chain posted signs giving customers the news Sunday, said Dan Schaech, divisional manager.

Employees at the store in the 8100 block of Ritchie Highway were told Friday, said Mr. Schaech, adding he could not comment on why the store was closing.

Gary Moffett, director of Farm Fresh operations, could not be reached for comment.

POLICE LOG

* Pasadena: Burglars stole a case of beer and a turkey from the garage of a home in the 200 block of New York Ave. Wednesday. They also stole a television set and car parts. The property was valued at $886.

* Blossom Hills: A resident of the 4100 block of Belle of Georgia Ave. reported to police that someone broke into his shed Thursday and stole tools and other property. The value of the goods was not known.

* Magothy Beach: A resident of the 300 block of Magothy Beach Road told police that someone broke into his home Thursday and stole a handgun and several pieces of gold jewelry. The property is valued at $5,300.

* Hillside Park: Burglars stole several guns, appliances and tools from a home in the 7700 block of Moon Fall Court Monday. The property was valued at $2,083.
