Five Glen Burnie children have been chosen to appear in Ballet Theatre of Annapolis' annual production of "Nutcracker" next month.
Kelly Weisner, daughter of Sharon and Curtis Weisner, will play the part of a child. Stacey Chaney, daughter of Donna and Wayne Chaney, and Julia Musiker, daughter of Nilda and Ted Musiker, will play gingerbread roles.
Portraying cherubs will be Chelsea Lewis, daughter of Betsy and John Lewis, and Jessica Weisner, Kelly's sister.
The children auditioned for the roles in September, said Carolyn Sullivan, spokeswoman for the ballet company. More than 100 people will be in the six performances at Maryland Hall in Annapolis.
