Donald H. Warren USF&G executive

Donald H. Warren, a retired USF&G Corp. vice president, died Sept. 7 of congestive heart failure at his home in Lancaster, Pa. He was 77.

He moved to Lancaster in 1984 from Phoenix in Baltimore County.

Associated with USF&G for 20 years before his retirement in 1980, he had earlier worked in Wilmington, Del., for 15 years as an underwriter for the Continental American Insurance Co.

A native of Danbury, Conn., he was a 1937 graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

During World War II, he served in the Army in the Pacific, reaching the rank of captain.

He is survived by his wife, the former Vivienne Bond; two sons, Richard A. Warren of Fallston and David L. Warren of Reisterstown; a daughter, Donna E. Shubrooks of Lancaster; and two granddaughters. Graveside services were held Sept. 10 in the cemetery at the Chestnut Grove Presbyterian Church in Phoenix.
