1992 All-Carroll County volleyball team The first team

November 25, 1992

* Danielle Arnold, North Carroll, junior -- The Panthers' top server and steadiest player, Arnold also was second on the team in hitting, despite being 5-foot-5.

* Stephanie Bollinger, Westminster, senior -- A solid all-around player for Westminster coach Karol Brown, Bollinger led the Owls with 143 service points and also added 35 kills as a middle hitter.

* Cailin Lawler, Liberty, junior -- Coach Helen Derwin said Lawler may have the strongest hit in the county. An integral part of the offense, Lawler has great hang time and a nice approach with her kills, converting on just under 80 percent of her attempts.

* Chrissy Primavera, Liberty, senior -- A smart player who got the most out of her ability, Primavera connected on 84 percent of her kills with fine placement. She also had a great knack in blocking and served with 90 percent accuracy.

* Shelley Smith, Francis Scott Key, senior -- Smith was phenomenal in all phases and instilled confidence in her teammates. The county's strongest server with 66 aces, Smith often puzzled opponents and lifted teammates when serving -- as the Eagles scored points 67 percent of the time she was back there.
