Union Bridge acts on insurance, review NORTHWEST--Taneytown * Union Bridge * New Windsor * Uniontown

The Union Bridge Town Council took the following action at Monday evening's monthly session:

* A resolution was introduced and passed continuing the insurance of the town's employees by the Local Government Insurance Trust and Health Benefits pool.

* A resolution establishing the environmental review procedure for capital projects using state funds was introduced and passed.

In other business, council member Scott W. Davis presented figures for making the restrooms at the community center, on Ladiesburg Road, handicapped accessible. A $1,057 contract for the installation of partitions was awarded to contractor Frank Waters.

Raymond Houck, a contractor, was awarded a $1,250 contract to install handicapped-accessible doors.

It was also announced that Lehigh-Portland Cement Co. had donated $100 for the community's annual Christmas decorating contest and that judging would take place Dec. 5.
