Winfield firefighters plan craft show

The Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department is having Country Willows, a folk art and craft show, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 27 through Dec. 1 at the fire hall at 1320 W. Liberty Road.

On Nov. 27, special Midnight Madness hours will allow shoppers to purchase gifts until midnight. Daily hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours will be extended Dec. 1 until 9 p.m.

More than 100 artisans from eight states will feature their work, which will include furniture, quilts, baskets, Victorian wreaths, jewelry, ceramics, dolls and lots more.

A hand stitched queen-size quilt will be raffled off, with proceeds to benefit the fire company.

A special highlight will be the arrival of Old Saint Nicholas on Nov. 28, when he'll pass out goodies to the children.
