Sam's offers free Thanksgiving dinner

Sam's Restaurant, 9994 Washington Blvd. in North Laurel, will be serving a free Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.

The dinner, with turkey, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, dessert, sodas, coffee and juice, will be served beginning at noon on Thanksgiving Day.

Rides will be provided to those who need them. The bar will be closed. Any food that is left over will be distributed to food kitchens and half-way houses. For more information, call Faye at 953-3836.

* Jessup: 8000 block Baltimore-Washington Blvd.: On Nov. 18 someone stole a 1990 Cadillac owned by a Georgia resident.

* North Laurel: 9200 block Livery Lane: Someone took a leather jacket worth $200 from a 1992 Isuzu Amigo on Friday.

* 8700 block Dovesfly Way: Someone took two speakers worth $300 from a Volkswagen Jetta on Sunday.

* 9500 block Canterbury Riding: Someone took tools, a radio, and a television, worth $2,180, from a GMC Safari between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
