Quick Stix of Annapolis will feature some of the nation's top talent in women's lacrosse at the Winter Warm-up and Skills Sharpener Clinic from 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 10 through the end of February at Annapolis High School.

The clinic is a three-on-three format with a weekly team scramble and will feature referees and instruction by area high school coaches.

Among the guest coaches will be Courtney Hutchinson, an All-American from William Smith College; Broadneck coach Leann Shuck, an All-American from Maryland; and Severna Park coach Carin Peterson, an All-American and U.S. team member.

The Anne Arundel Youth Soccer League and the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks will conduct the inaugural Arundel Cup boys and girls soccer tournament Nov. 27-29 on the four fields at the Arden Recreation Area.

County-based Division I and 2A teams are still eligible to register for the single elimination tournament which will include teams from the 1983, 1982, 1981, 1980 and 1979 age groups.

The initial entry fee is $25 and each subsequent game requires a supplemental fee of $25, payable before the start of each game.

All opening round games will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, followed by the semi-final game starting at 10 a.m. Saturday and the finals at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Raiders Youth Sports Organization is conducting open wrestling practice from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Glen Burnie High.

The organization welcomes boys between the ages of 8-15 weighing between 50 and 150 pounds.
