Six members of the Anne Arundel Community College cross country team will compete Saturday in the NJCAA national championship meet in Tempe, Ariz.

Five runners on the men's team, which recently won the Region XX Division II title, will make the trip, and Chesapeake graduate Janine Macmillan will be the lone women's representative.

The men are Broadneck graduates Doug Murphy, Marc Mallonee, Dave Taylor and Joe Dugan, and Northeast grad Neil Gilligan.

When asked how he expected the Pioneers to finish, coach Jim Fontaine said: "I have no idea. We're just happy to be going. We'd like to get nationally ranked in the top 20, but who knows."
