Congoleum employee completes EPA course

Wilbur G. Fourham Jr., a waste treatment plant operator at Congoleum's Finksburg plant, recently completed the Environmental Protection Agency's national field study course on the operation of industrial wastewater treatment plants.

Mr. Fourham took the course at California State University in Sacramento and received a certificate of completion.

Westminster woman wins Leggett's prize

Mary V. Gallagher, of Westminster, won $500 in merchandise from Leggett's Homestore and men's and women's fashion departments at the store's recent Columbus Day Giveaway at Cranberry Mall.

Periodontist joins Westminster practice

Scott Smith recently joined the Westminster Dental Group and will specialize in periodontia and implantology.

He received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and earned his dental diploma from the University of Maryland.

He is married and the father of two children.

Duke's Car Wash picks top workers

Duke's Car Wash recently selected daytime employees Cathie Kline and Nancy Kaufman as Employees of the Month for October.

Each received a certificate and cash for the achievement.

Others were selected in these categories: Cathy McElroy, highest quality work; Liz Chance, most dependable; B. J. Foreman, best attitude; Liz Chance, most improved worker; and Liz Chance, for demonstrating the most initiative.

Tim Meerschaert and Cliff Gabriel

were chosen as the evening and weekend crew employees of the month and were awarded certificates and cash prizes.

Trout named CCGH Employee of Month

Peggy Trout, an executive secretary in administration, has been selected as Carroll County General Hospital's employee of the month for November.

Her primary responsibilities include supporting the president and executive vice president, and assisting with the physician-referral service. She also works to support the Allied Health Professional Committee and the Department of Pediatrics.
