Baltimore City

SHOOTING: Southern District -- Charles Blanding, 21, of the 900 block of Cherry Hill Road, is listed in good condition at Harbor Hospital Center after being shot in the chest during a shoot-out Monday night between teen-agers in the 2900 block of Carver Road in Cherry Hill. Mr. Hill was walking down the street about 8:15 o'clock when he was shot by one of several teen-agers armed with handguns.

BREAK-IN: Northern District -- A power lawn mower valued at $400 was stolen from an outdoor storage shed in the 2500 block of Oakley Ave. over the weekend.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered Blockbuster Video in the 5900 block of York Road Monday evening and stole six movie tapes valued at more than $500.

THEFT: Northern District -- A ring valued at nearly $1,600 was stolen from a dresser in the bedroom of a house in the 400 block of Ilchester Ave. over the weekend.

BREAK-IN: Northern District -- At least two offices at Union Memorial Hospital in the 200 block of E. University Parkway were broken into over the weekend.

THEFT: Northern District -- Computer equipment of unknown value was stolen from an office at Sinai Hospital in the 2400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. over the weekend.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- An 80-year-old man was robbed of his wallet containing a bank card and cash by a man in the 700 block of E. 37th St. Monday afternoon.

THEFT: Northern District -- Wheels valued at $800 were stolen off a 1992 Ford Explorer parked in the 200 block of Edgevale Road over the weekend.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 1000 block of Harlem Ave. Monday through a rear door and stole a 19-inch TV, two clocks, a telephone, back-pack and a radio, all valued at nearly $500.

THEFT: Western District -- Tools valued at nearly $400 were stolen from an outdoor storage shed in the 2200 block of Braddish Ave. after someone used a metal bar to force the door.

THEFT: Western District -- Carpet cleaning equipment valued at more than $1,000 was stolen over the weekend from a house in the 2300 block of Braddish Avenue.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A woman robbed a resident of the 1600 block of N. Appleton St. of an undisclosed sum Monday night after forcing her way into the house after knocking.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property valued at more than $,1000 was stolen over the weekend from a house in the 700 block of N. Carey St. by someone who entered a window after climbing the fire escape.

THEFT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a teen-ager Sunday who attempted to leave the Super Fresh food market in the 2000 block of W. Lafayette Ave. without paying for items valued at $3.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A TV valued at $400 was stolen from a house in the 1300 block of N. Woodyear St. Monday by someone who entered through a rear basement window.

THEFT: Western District -- An unattended bike valued at $130 was stolen Sunday from outside a house in the 2800 block of Brighton St.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Four men in their 20s robbed the Bentalou food market in the 1000 block of N. Bentalou St. of more than $100 Monday evening after threatening a clerk.

ROBBERY TRY: Western District -- A gunman attempted to rob a resident of the 1500 block of Mrytle Ave. over the weekend in the 1100 block of W. North Ave. but fled when the victim turned around and struck him.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone broke into a car over the weekend in the 2000 block of W. Lexington St. and stole a telephone, electric saw, a drill and other tools, all valued at $400.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A TV valued at nearly $300 was stolen from a house in the 900 block of N. Fulton Ave. over the weekend.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered the Harriet Tubman Elementary School in the 1800 block of Harlem Ave. Monday morning and stole a VCR valued at more than $200.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A woman was robbed of her cash and property, all valued at more than $200, by a man near her Falstaff Road home Monday evening.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Property valued at $600 was stolen from a house in the 2200 block of W. Pratt St. Sunday by someone who entered through a basement window.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3400 block of Edmondson Ave. over the weekend through a rear basement door.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Southwestern District -- A man pointed a gun at a woman during an argument in a car in the 3300 block of Wilkens Ave. about 9 p.m. Sunday. The man was later arrested.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- A radar detector valued at nearly $100 was stolen from a car Sunday morning in the 3900 block of Benzinger Road.

BREAK-IN: Southwestern District -- Someone entered Poplar Grove barbers in the 700 block of Poplar Grove St. over the weekend through a rear window.

BREAK-IN: Southwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $300 was stolen from an outdoor storage shed in the 3200 block of Wilkens Ave. over the weekend by someone who forced a sliding door.
