Cafe O'Lite to make debut at Cover to Cover Bookstore Cafe

Rosemary Klein, editor of Maryland Poetry Review, and Michael Fallon, a poet, will be the first performers for the inaugural edition of Cafe O'Lite at 7:30 p.m. today at Cover to Cover Bookstore Cafe.

Cafe O'Lite, a monthly series of poetry readings presented by Lite magazine, will be a regular Cover to Cover feature on the third Tuesday of the month.

After Ms. Klein and Mr. Fallon read, there will be an open stage to allow other poets to read their works.

A $3 admission fee includes a 10 percent discount for dinner or a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage. For information or reservations, call 381-9200.

* Long Reach: 8900 block of Little Foxes Run: Copper pipes were taken from a basement at a construction site this weekend.

* Oakland Mills: 9400 block of Wandering Way: Someone stole two 100-pound pumpkins valued at $50 between Friday and Saturday.

*The Roy Rogers restaurant on Oakland Mills Road: A man approached a woman as she got out of her vehicle Saturday, implied he had a gun, and demanded money. He tore her shirt as she attempted to get money, police said. After getting $35, he ran away through the village center.

*5800 block of Stevens Forest Road: A blue 1982 Honda Prelude was stolen between Saturday and Sunday. The Maryland plates are VHS-500.

* Owen Brown: 6900 block of Deer Pasture Drive: Someone entered an open garage Saturday and stole lawn equipment.
