Dave Cavanaugh, Old Mill, Sr. -- Cavanaugh was another consistent Patriots harrier, coming in fifth (17:28) in the county championships at Annapolis and sixth in the 4A, Region IV meet at Baybrook Park.

Sam Lomax, North County, Sr. -- A state champion in the 500 meters indoors and 800 meters outdoors last year, Lomax ran his first county cross country meet and finished 11th at 17:52. He kicked it up to a surprising third-place finish in the regional in 16:52.

Jack Longley, Severna Park, So. -- Longley took a surprising second (17:07), just seven seconds behind Warren, in the county meet and finished fourth in the Class 4A, Region IV race.

Brendan Naydan, Severna Park, Jr. -- After finishing eighth (17:35) in the county meet, Naydan finished seventh in the 4A, Region IV meet as the Falcons upset county champion Old Mill, 63-68, to win the team title.

Ron Pennington, Old Mill, Jr. -- Pennington's third-place finish in the county meet in 17:14 enabled the Patriots to win the county championship. In the 4A, Region IV race, Old Mill was runner-up, with Pen

nington finishing 11th.

Jason Reckner, Old Mill, Jr. -- With the two most consistent efforts on his team, Reckner was fourth in the county meet (17:16) and runner-up (16:37) in the 4A Region, IV race.

Geoff Warren, Arundel, Jr. -- Warren is The Baltimore Sun 1992 Anne Arundel County Boys cross country Runner of the Year. The Wildcat junior won both the county and region championships with times of 17 minutes flat and 16:37. respectively.
